Burnley have received a major boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Leeds and more good news is set to follow, according to Sean Dyche [Lancs Live].
Star player Maxwel Cornet, who hasn’t featured since being forced off against Newcastle due to injury at the beginning of the month, is back in contention for selection.

Cornet could return vs Leeds
The Ivory Coast international is soon set to jet out to Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations.
But he could feature against Leeds, as the Turf Moor outfit look to end a six-match winless run at Elland Road.
Cornet may not be the only player who missed out on the trip to Manchester United on Thursday night to return to the squad, either.
Dyche confirmed that Kevin Long is available again following isolation, while two others – likely Nick Pope and Jay Rodriguez – should be able to return to the group in advance of the match.
“Maxwel has made really good progress and been out on the grass today, so comes back into the thinking,” said Dyche about Cornet [Lancs Live]. “We’ll have to be careful and decide with him…he’s only trained for a few days as well, although he’s felt strong and has done some work with the sports scientist.”
“We’ll put all that in the melting pot and make a decision but he’s a really open lad, we’ll see how he’s feeling about his body as well.
“Kevin Long is back in after a Covid case, and two others we’re waiting on the end of their Covid cases so we’re hoping they come back in in the next 24 hours or so.”

Potential quadruple boost huge for Burnley
Kevin Long hasn’t made a first-team appearance this season, but his return adds cover at the back, while if Pope and Rodriguez are fit and ready to go, they will strengthen Dyche’s squad considerably.
Cornet has been the star performer at Turf Moor since signing from Lyon in August, though, and fans will be particularly pleased if he makes his comeback on Sunday.
The 25-year-old’s potential return is less good news for Leeds, who have struggled defensively in recent times.
Marcelo Bielsa’s depleted team have shipped 16 goals in their last four matches, so if Cornet does feature, he’ll fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet.
