The Clarets host Spurs in Saturday’s early Premier League kickoff.

Burnley defender Ben Mee has compared Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to one of the best strikers in English football history.
Ahead of the two sides locking horns in Saturday’s Premier League early kickoff at Turf Moor, the Spurs talisman could feature having been on the sidelines but returning to training this week.
Having been out for more than a month, Kane’s recovery has progressed quicker than expected and on Wednesday, the England international made a lot of people happy as he posted a picture on Twitter in which he was training with his teammates.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said there was a “high percentage” of the 25-year-old being involved against the Clarets, something which Sean Dyche’s side, looking over their shoulders in the Premier League table, wouldn’t have wanted.
Mee, meanwhile, was previously linked with Tottenham, as The Sun (25 March, page 63) reported last year that the North Londoners were plotting a £20million bid for him, but on Saturday, he will only be focused on stopping Kane, or whoever else will compose the opposition front line.

That said, Pochettino had spoken of how Kane’s name “is so important and it’s massive motivation having him available to play”, such is the player’s class, and Mee seemed to echo those sentiments too by comparing him to Newcastle United and England legend Alan Shearer.
“He’s quality, his finishing is fantastic, he shoots from wherever, he’s got power, just his cleverness as well,” the Clarets man told the Lancashire Telegraph.
“He’s a little bit like Shearer in his cleverness. I think he’s got a very good footballing brain. Every time I’ve played up against him, he’s a tough player to play against. He’s one of the top boys in the Premier League for sure, without a doubt.”
