Burnley have sanctioned deals for two of their youngsters.
Burnley have sanctioned the departures of two youngsters, with Dan Agyei joining Blackpool on loan, while Alex Whitmore has signed for Chesterfield Town on a permanent basis.
As reported by Sky Sports, Agyei, who made three Premier League appearances for Burnley last season, will spend the rest of the season in League One with Blackpool, with the striker aiming to help his temporary club avoid relegation.
Agyei previously scored four goals each during loan spells with Coventry City and Walsall in League One and will be determined to make a major impact on this occasion.
The 20-year-old could make his debut for Blackpool in Saturday’s game at home to AFC Wimbledon, the side where he progressed through the youth ranks.
Meanwhile, defender Whitmore departs Burnley on a permanent basis having made the switch to Chesterfield Town, who are in danger of suffering relegation from League Two.
After joining Burnley’s academy in 2012, Whitmore signed a professional contract before gaining experience during loan spells with Chester, Gateshead, Morecambe and Bury.
The 22-year-old leaves Burnley without having made a senior appearance for the club but will now be determined to kick-start his career elsewhere.
