Jack Cork was man of the match for Burnley on Monday, but cannot get into the England team, unlike his Liverpool and West Brom counterparts.

Burnley fans believe one of their players deserves to be in Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of counterparts from Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion.
Jack Cork, for whom Burnley paid Swansea City a reported fee of £10 million in July, was crowned man of the match as the Clarets beat Newcastle United 1-0 at Turf Moor on Monday.

And after helping his new employers to seventh in the Premier League with 10 games played, Cork is being talked up for an England place by many Burnley supporters.
The 28-year-old played for the Three Lions at every youth level between under-16 and under-21, and appeared three times for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games.

But he – unlike, for example, Jordan Henderson [Liverpool] and Jake Livermore [West Brom] – is yet to be recognised by his country’s senior team.
