Arfield scored a late winner as Burnley beat Everton 2-1.
A 90th-minute goal from Scott Arfield handed Burnley a dramatic 2-1 win over Everton at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Sean Dyche’s side had took the lead in the first half when Sam Vokes capitalised on a Maarten Stekelenburg mistake to tap the Clarets in front after 39 minutes.
The Toffees drew level after the break through Yannick Bolasie. The winger scored his first goal since joining Everton by robbing the ball off Romelu Lukaku before smashing it home to make it 1-1.
Despite dominating, Ronald Koeman’s side ended up the losers when midfielder Arfield grabbed a winner for Burnley, having somehow avoided a sending-off.
The number 37 had already picked up a booking and got away with a succession of fouls before giving Dyche’s team all three points.
It was Burnley’s third win of the season and sees them climb up to 14th as they bid to remain in the Premier League. Everton remain in sixth.
