Sean Dyche continues to be linked with the vacant Everton job.

Burnley chairman Mike Garlick has struck a major blow in Everton’s plans to lure Sean Dyche to Goodison Park by stating he wants his manager to remain at Turf Moor for another five years.
Sky Sports claimed on Tuesday morning that Everton would be preparing an approach for the 46-year-old boss, who continues to impress on a small budget with the Lancashire-based Burnley.

“That’s the price of success I guess,” Garlick said, responding to a question posed over whether he was proud of Dyche attracting interest.
“The more success we get, the more people are going to look at him. But we look after him well, and we hope he’s going to be here for a long time.
“It’s not something we’re thinking about right now (shortlist of replacements), there is one person on our list and that is Sean Dyche. Another five years, hopefully.”

Dyche is just one of a number of managers being linked with the Everton job, with Sam Allardyce, Thomas Tuchel and even interim boss David Unsworth said to be in the mix.
Everton will be looking to appoint a new manager before their clash against Watford at Goodison Park on Sunday, but Unsworth could remain in charge for Thursday night’s Europa League outing against French giants Lyon.
