Sean Dyche has stated that the Leeds United fans were ‘magnificent’ during their Premier League showdown with Burnley on Sunday, as he told his post-match press conference.
Leeds recorded a 3-1 win against their relegation rivals and had to take the lead twice to secure all three points during a nervy game in Yorkshire.
Even though the home team had key personnel missing once again through injury, such as Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips, they put all of that behind them to secure a crucial win after previous morale-sapping results.
Jack Harrison, Stuart Dallas and Dan James were the players on the scoresheet, as they did the business when mattered for the Whites.
Nonetheless, despite one moment that saw a bottle being thrown onto the pitch, Dyche reacted to that incident, but refused to get drawn into and praised the majority of those who were inside Elland Road.
“It is very (disappointing),” said Dyche. “But I don’t want to keep advertising these things and I thought the crowd were magnificent today. I thought our own fans were absolutely magnificent, stood by us.
“I prefer to talk about the respect I have for however many people were in the crowd today.
“Unfortunately, there was one that let themselves down and let the moment down.”

The Leeds players are going to need the crowd behind them during this second leg of the campaign because they may well be in a battle for survival in May.
It seems as though Phillips won’t be back for a while yet, which is a major problem for Bielsa and the balance of his side.
But the question does have to be asked whether they will spend the money in January and look to paper over the injury cracks.
Whilst Leeds fans dream of fresh faces boosting their team this month, Bielsa isn’t the sort to work with a big squad, so he might be the one who needs convincing.
