Gibson left Middlesbrough to sign for Burnley in a £15 million deal earlier this summer.

Ben Gibson was sent off on only his second appearance since joining Burnley from Middlesbrough earlier this summer.
The centre-back was shown a second yellow card for handling in the box during Burnley’s 3-1 defeat to Olympiacos on Wednesday.
The Greek side duly scored from the resulting penalty to put themselves in full control of the Europa League play-off tie, the second leg of which is scheduled for next week.
And some Middlesbrough fans – who developed a minor rivalry with Burnley during the two sides’ Championship days – have taken pleasure from Gibson’s misfortune.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
And while many Burnley fans are reluctant to criticise their £15 million new recruit – attributing the blame to poor refereeing instead – others aren’t best pleased, as evidenced below…

Kostas Fortounis and Andreas Bouchalakis scored either side of Chris Wood’s equaliser for Burnley, before Fortounis added a second following Gibson’s error.
Will the former Middlesbrough defender prove a good addition for Burnley?
