Newcastle defender has been linked to Porto.

Newcastle United are in negotiations to sell defender Chancel Mbemba, The Mirror report.
Mbemba has been linked with a £8 million transfer to Porto, following interest from former side Anderlecht.
One of his ex-Anderlecht teammates is Burnley’s Steven Defour, formerly of Porto.

He said: “Mbemba is a tough defender in individual marking, he is a fast player who has passing quality and who risks playing out from defence, he has a good head game, he has talent and qualities to bring to FC Porto.”

Mbemba started only seven games in the Premier League for Newcastle last season and if the club can boost their transfer budget by selling him for £8 million, it will be good short term business.
Long term, Mbemba is only 23, and still has a lot of potential.
He could yet go on make Newcastle regret losing him, but it is a risk the Toon need to take.
