The 19-year-old Schalke forward has been a revelation – and Liverpool have been tipped to make a move.
Bundesliga expert and Norwegian journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft says he expects Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp to go ‘big time’ for Schalke forward Leroy Sane.
Sane has been a revelation in the German league so far this season and has now received a call-up to Joachim Low’s national side.
And Fjortoft can see Liverpool making a January move for the 19-year-old, especially with Klopp at the helm at Anfield.
Another forward Liverpool have recently been linked with – rather suddenly – is Alexandre Pato. Reports suggested on Saturday that the Reds have agreed a deal ‘in principle’ to sign the 26-year-old Brazilian in January.
Corinthians have since denied the transfer talk, according to ESPN, but it hasn’t stop a wide variety of media outlets from reporting the story.
Pato has suffered from multiple injury problems during his time in Europe but has been better suited to football in his native Brazil since returning there in 2012.
A host of strikers will no doubt be linked with a move to Anfield between now and the January transfer window but, right now, Sane and Pato are the two main names on the list.
