Some Tottenham Hotspur supporters on social media have been reacting after The Athletic reported that they could move for Lautaro Martinez if Harry Kane leaves this summer.
Replacing Kane will be an almost impossible task for Spurs if he is to leave this summer, but Martinez would certainly soften the blow of losing arguably their best player.
Indeed, Martinez is clearly a talented striker. He’s an Argentina international and he’s been clinical for Inter Milan, netting 31 goals over the last two seasons in Serie A.
Spurs fans never like to hear anything about Kane leaving the club, but after Martinez was linked it’s fair to say that the fanbase were rather excited.
Indeed, Tottenham fans were buzzing to hear that Martinez could be Spurs’ Kane replacement, and it’s not hard to understand why. After all, there are very few strikers in world football who can match Martinez’s ability, and at the age of 23, the Inter ace has a lot of room to improve.
