The former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder believes that the 20-year-old – who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger – would break into the Liverpool first team.
Hargreaves, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport, has added that the Bayer Leverkusen star is tailor-made for the Reds, and that he would develop under manager Jurgen Klopp.
According to The Express, Liverpool boss Klopp wants to sign Havertz from Bayer in the summer transfer window.
Hargreaves said about Havertz on BT Sport’s Early Kick-Off (Episode 35): “It is difficult finding a player that can break into the Liverpool team, but Kai Havertz is tailor-made for that club.
“He is such a special player. I think Jurgen Klopp would be the best tutor he could have.”

According to WhoScored, Havertz has scored six goals and provided five assists in 22 Bundesliga appearances for Bayer so far this season.
The youngster has also scored three goals and provided two assists in three Europa League matches for the German club, and played five times in the Champions League this campaign, according to WhoScored.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the 20-year-old scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 34 league matches, according to WhoScored.
