BT Sport commentator Ian Darke has suggested that Newcastle United only have a minimal amount of haggling to do, to complete a deal for Nicolai Jorgensen.

Darke provided an update on Newcastle’s pursuit of the striker, during BT Sport’s live coverage of the Magpies’ FA Cup tie against Chelsea.

Newcastle have been trying to sign Jorgensen for a number of days now, with the striker thought to be Rafael Benitez’s top attacking target.

And Darke said: “There’s been strong claims that Newcastle are to tie up a move for Jorgensen. I understand there’s only some last minute haggling to do.”

Darke’s words may ease fears that Newcastle are set to miss out on Jorgensen.

There have been doubts over whether the deal would go through, as the Danish forward started for Feyenoord today.
