Chris Sutton praised Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe on BT Sport 2 (10:55pm, November 26, 2020).

The former Chelsea striker, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport, was impressed by the performance of Pepe during Arsenal’s win against Molde on Thursday evening.

Mikel Arteta’s side got the better of Molde 3-0 away from home to book their place in the knockout rounds of the Europa League.

Pepe, who was sent off against Leeds United in the Premier League last weekend, scored the first goal for the Gunners in the opening minutes of the second half.

Sutton said about Pepe on BT Sport 2 (10:55pm, November 26, 2020): “Tonight I thought he was excellent and that’s the way to respond (to his red card).

“Look, I always thought he was a decent signing when Arsenal picked him up, they paid really massive money for him. But he’s a dribbler, he’s creative, he’s got a wonderful, wonderful left foot. A really good response.”

How did Nicolas Pepe play against Molde?

Pepe responded well to his dismissal against Leeds and played well for Arsenal in their win against Molde.

The 25-year-old Ivory Coast international worked hard in the first half and could have scored more than one goal in the second period.

According to WhoScored, Pepe took six shots, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 87.4%, won two headers, took 80 touches, attempted eight dribbles, made one tackle, and put in 12 crosses.

The winger has scored one goal in the Premier League and has scored three goals and provided two assists in the Europa League for Arsenal so far this season, according to WhoScored.
