Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin must now be considered as one of the best full-backs in world football despite his young age.
Speaking live on BT Sport’s live broadcast on Everton vs Arsenal at 19:27 last night, Gunners legend Ian Wright offered high praise for Hector Bellerin, but explained how Barcelona’s interest in the full-back is very worrying for him, being an Arsenal fan.
The 21-year-old Spaniard has fully established himself as the first-choice right-back at Arsenal over the past 18 months, and has proved himself to be pretty much indispensable to the club.

Wright highlighted how important the pacey youngster is to Arsene Wenger, when speaking to BT Sport, but cited La Liga giants Barcelona’s continual courting of Bellerin as something that is concerning for him, and every other Gunners fan:
“It (Barcelona’s interest) is not worrying for him but it’s worrying for us. Simply because he, for me at the moment, looking around the world, yes there’s decent right-backs, but he’s up there in the top three, easily.”

Bellerin has only just returned from a spell on the sidelines through injury, and his presence amongst Arsenal’s back-four gives them an instant boost in both an attacking and defensive sense.
He recently signed a new deal with the club that runs until the summer of 2023, so the club at least will hold leverage should any of Europe’s big clubs come calling for the Spaniard.
