Watford and Newcastle United reportedly have a tentative interest in Kamil Grosicki, but the player may now feel he has done enough to impress.

Hull City fought back to draw 1-1 at Aston Villa on Saturday in their first Championship fixture of the season.

The visitors had trailed at half time but rallied after the restart, with Kamil Grosicki influential to a good early season point.

Grosicki teed up Jarrod Bowen for the equaliser and his speedy running and dangerous deliveries worried Villa’s Neil Taylor throughout.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, the Poland international has been on the lookout for a Premier League club throughout the summer, with only tentative interest from Watford and Newcastle United forthcoming.

But this display should have done Grosicki’s chances of a big move no harm, showing off the talents that at one stage looked to have given Hull hope of survival last term.

That his opponent was Taylor, a top tier full back with Swansea City for many years, meant that Grosicki’s display had added significance.

While this fine performance was good news for both the player and Hull, the club will hope they can hang on to an individual who could often prove the difference in a gruelling campaign.
