Bryson DeChambeau and his Crushers team are aiming to take home the LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship this week at The Cardinal at Saint John’s.
DeChambeau did manage one win on the LIV circuit this season, though he wasn’t in the mix for the Individual Championship in Indianapolis last week.

And despite three top-10 finishes in majors, he’ll be frustrated not to have come away with a title this year.
His strong play over the past 16 months still earned him a spot on the Ryder Cup team, thanks largely to his form in those big events.
The full US Ryder Cup squad is expected to play, and there’s growing support for DeChambeau to join them via an exemption from the PGA Tour.

DeChambeau knew when he joined LIV that there would be trade-offs, and he hasn’t been shy about backing his decision since then. He seems fully invested in what LIV is building. There are even reports that he has some exciting plans lined up for his Crushers team moving forward.
But things didn’t get off to a great start ahead of the Michigan Team Championship on Thursday. DeChambeau ran into an issue on the driving range that left him clearly frustrated before play even began.
DeChambeau notices a problem on the driving range ahead of LIV Golf Michigan
DeChambeau will be keen to wrap up his season on a positive note. A win for his Crushers team in Michigan would be a strong way to close out 2025, especially with the Ryder Cup just around the corner.
But on Thursday, DeChambeau didn’t seem entirely happy while hitting balls at The Cardinal at Saint John’s.
Red Harrington took to X to share how DeChambeau was feeling ahead of LIV’s Team Championship this weekend.

He said: “Bryson is out late on the range getting some work in…he’s unsatisfied by the condition of the range balls so now he is using balls fresh out the box. The range here is synthetic and my working theory is they are getting scuffed by landing on what’s probably a firm underlayment.”
Bryson DeChambeau’s 2025 season breakdown
DeChambeau will look back at his 2025 season with mixed emotions. He did at least record one victory, but that is simply not enough for a player of the American’s calibre. Most professional golfers would be delighted with those results, but not DeChambeau.
However, if DeChambeau ends his season by playing a key role for the US Ryder Cup team, helping guide them to victory over Europe, then he might just have to reclassify 2025 as a successful year.
