Stuart Dallas is reportedly doubtful for Leeds United’s next pre-season friendly, which would seemingly open the door for Bryce Hosannah.

Marcelo Bielsa will have a familiar feeling following Leeds’ defeat to Manchester United on Wednesday, with the Whites boss seeing his squad reduced in size ahead of their next game after Stuart Dallas picked up a nasty head injury in Perth.
Leeds Live reports that the wide-man is set to miss this weekend’s game with Western Sydney Wanderers, making it more than likely that Bryce Hosannah will start the second friendly of Leeds’ Australian tour at right-back.
The 20-year-old came on for Dallas in the 4-0 defeat and did not let himself down on a disappointing day for the Peacocks. So the upcoming game could prove to be a golden opportunity for the former Crystal Palace trainee.
Leeds have taken a small squad with them Down Under, so Hosannah is in with a fantastic chance of getting 90 minutes to prove himself to Bielsa ahead of the team’s return to England for the final stages of pre-season.

While Luke Ayling will almost certainly begin the Championship season as the first-choice in that area of the pitch, Hosannah will be targeting a lot more opportunities in the first-team during the coming campaign.
And while it is going to be difficult to put in the kind of display against the A-League side that leaves him in a drastically different position in the pecking order upon his return to Thorp Arch, Hosannah can certainly make a big impression.
He has the pace and skill to cause real problems at both ends of the pitch and perhaps make the kind of impact that leaves the fans, and Bielsa, picking Hosannah out as one of the real success stories of the tour.
