Bryan Oviedo has predicted a good run of form for Sunderland.
Bryan Oviedo has told Sunderland’s official website that the wins will come for the Black Cats.
The Stadium of Light club are rooted to the foot of the Championship after winning one of their last 11 league games, with four points separating them and safety at the moment.
Chris Coleman’s side came close to ending a six-match winless streak on Saturday when Oviedo’s strike gave Sunderland a 1-0 lead at Millwall, who equalised with 20 minutes to go.
Prior to that, the Wearside outfit earned a spirited 3-3 draw at home to Middlesbrough, and the former Everton defender, signed last January in a £7.5 million deal along with Darron Gibson, reckons that the Black Cats are on the brink of a purple patch.
He told the club’s official website: “We know we have a good team and we know we can play well.
“Maybe the results have not quite been what we were wanting, but it is coming, and it is just a case of continuing to make little steps, and then everything will come together as we want.”
If Sunderland are to turn it around, they need to do so quickly.
But it gets no easier for Coleman’s side, who host promotion-chasing Aston Villa tomorrow, before going to QPR on Saturday. Realistically Sunderland are going to need four points from those games.
