Bryan Oviedo says that Sunderland players are fighting extremely hard to avoid relegation this season.

Sunderland defender, Bryan Oviedo, says that they need to keep on fighting to avoid getting the drop this season.
The Black Cats are rock bottom in the Premier League table with 20 points, eight points behind 17th placed Swansea. They have won just once in their last 14 games in all competitions, and are without a win in their last five games in the Premier League.
What has been really frustrating for them is lack of goals up front, with the Black Cats having gone nine games without scoring. David Moyes’s side are heavily reliant on their top scorer Jermain Defoe, but the 34-year-old does need support and supply from behind.
Oviedo says that their lack of quality up front is a problem and is hurting them badly. With only nine games left to play, Sunderland are running out of time to prevent themselves from going down.
“We need to believe in what we do because everyone is doing their best,” said Oviedo, as quoted by Chronicle Live. “We have a lot of options and we need to score goals – that is the most important thing for us because we defended really well.
“We need to keep fighting and stay together. We have to look at what happened and make it better for the next games.
“We have nine games and a lot of points to play for, we need to show a strong mentality. It’s not easy, I know. It’s a difficult position for all of us but we have a chance.
“It’s frustrating because we’re fighting and trying hard, everyone’s doing well in training and we’re trying to do our best and we put in a good performance, you can see we’re fighting. We need goals.”
Oviedo is spot on here. Sunderland need to win games, but at this moment no one seems to have an idea where the goals will come from.
