Bryan Mbeumo is the latest star who could leave Brentford as transfer speculation around the forward begins to intensify.

The Bees lost Ivan Toney on deadline day after he sealed a long-anticipated move away from the club, joining Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

Mbeumo is now the poster boy for the west London outfit having spent five years at Brentford, scoring 53 goals and providing 42 assists in 203 appearances across all competitions.

He’s already started the 2024/25 season strongly, scoring three goals in as many games, alerting several Premier League clubs.

Three Premier League sides eye up move for Bryan Mbeumo

Even while Toney was a member of the Brentford squad, Mbeumo himself has always stood out for Thomas Frank’s side, catching the attention of many Premier League rivals.

Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool are all said to be interested in the Cameroon international, who has two years left on his current deal.

Nottingham Forest reportedly had a £25m bid rejected in the summer and the 25-year-old has also been linked to Aston Villa.

Brentford are rumoured to value Mbeumo around the £50m mark but still have no intention of letting him leave the Gtech Community Stadium any time soon.

Bryan Mbeumo admits he wants to play at ‘best clubs’ amid transfer speculation

While no concrete offers have come in yet, Brentford will no doubt face a battle to keep their talisman as interest continues to grow.

With no European football to offer the forward, the lure of playing on the continental stage may prove to be too big to ignore for Mbeumo, who admits he wants to play for the best clubs.

He told L’Equipe back in May: “I have spent five seasons at Brentford, at a club that has helped me grow and turn a corner.

“But yes, I want to play in the biggest competitions, at the best clubs. It’s still exciting to see some of the big teams interested in me. We’ll see.”
