Tottenham Hotspur believe that Bryan Gil has a long-term future at the club, according to Football.London.

Football.London have reported that despite sending Gil out on loan to Valencia on January transfer deadline day, Tottenham believe that the Spain international winger has a long-term future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 20-year-old has moved to La Liga club Valencia on loan until the season of the season.

It is a straight loan, which means that Valencia do not have any option to make it permanent.

So, as things stand, Gil will be coming back to Tottenham in the summer of 2022.

Should Tottenham have kept Bryan Gil?

In our view, Gil would have been better served staying at Tottenham and working with head coach Antonio Conte.

Yes, the winger was struggling for playing time under the former Chelsea manager.

But, Gil moved to Tottenham from Sevilla only in the summer of 2021, and now he has gone away on loan.

True, the Spaniard will get more playing time at Valencia, but if his future is at Tottenham and in the Premier League, then, in our opinion, he would have benefited by staying at Spurs and working with Conte day after day in training.
