Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil has told Sky Sports that the club’s fans are “unbelievable”.

Gil joined Tottenham from Sevilla in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old was on the substitutes’ bench for Tottenham’s Premier League game against Manchester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season.

The youngster was wowed by the Spurs fans inside the stadium, saying that they were “unbelievable”.

Bryan Gil’s verdict

Gil told Sky Sports: “The fans have made me feel really at home since day one. I feel the belief they have in me and this is helping me to settle in.

“Being named on the bench for the opening day win over Manchester City, it was like no other experience I’ve ever had in football.

“The atmosphere inside the ground was unbelievable. I was bowled over by the noise and the stadium itself and it made me realise the size of this club.”

Developing at Tottenham Hotspur

Gil is only 20 now, so we have to exercise some caution regarding him.

We should not expect the Spain international to hit the ground running at Tottenham and become a key figure in Nuno’s team rightaway.

It will take some time.

From what we have seen of Gil in a Spurt shirt so far this season, we can saw that the signs are very positive.

The Tottenham no.11 has played 50 minutes in the Premier League, once in the Carabao Cup and twice in the Europa Conference League so far this season.

It will be interesting to see if Gil starts for Tottenham in the Premier League game against Aston Villa this weekend.

The Spaniard’s importance in the Spurs team is only going to grow.
