Some say there is no room for sentiment in football and boy has Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti just proven that.
Yannick Bolasie has been making all the right noises with regards to fighting his way back into the Toffees manager’s plans.
The former Crystal Palace winger, a £30 million signing in 2016, has been attending Everton matches despite being left out of the squad.
And earlier this week, Bolasie revealed on Twitter that he’s been killing it in training in Finch Farm, in front of the watching Ancelotti.
But the veteran Italian coach categorically claimed on Friday that the 31-year-old had no future at Goodison Park under him and that the club wanted to sell him.
If you’re Bolasie then it’ll have come as a crushing blow, in light of how he’s tried to salvage his career on Merseyside.
And even some Everton fans on Twitter have admitted that they’re sad for the winger.
Bolasie clearly has a good attitude and if he tries as hard at his next club as he’s tried at Everton these past few weeks then he won’t be long winning over the manager and supporters.
