Brunt has featured as a substitute for West Brom recently after returning from injury, but the Northern Ireland international is now in contention to return to the starting lineup, as reported by SBS News.
A very versatile player – he has featured on either flank and at left-back for West Brom – Brunt has been used as a central midfielder when he has been brought on by Alan Pardew and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him start in that position in the away game against Stoke City on Saturday.
Brunt’s experience could be hugely beneficial for West Brom in their quest to avoid relegation, while he is also capable of playing impressive long passes and possesses a considerable threat from set-pieces.
It is clear that something needs to change if West Brom are to get back on track and Brunt’s return to the fray could give them the boost that they require.
