Eddie Howe revealed on Friday that Bruno Guimaraes is already ‘frustrated‘ at Newcastle United over a lack of regular football.

The Brazil international joined Newcastle in a £40 million deal toward the end of the January transfer window.

However, with the Magpies bang in form at the minute, Howe just cannot find a way to squeeze him into his starting XI.

His prospects didn’t improve much on Saturday when he only managed a two-minute cameo in the 1-1 draw away to West Ham United.

Only now has the Newcastle signing reacted to the result on Twitter and here’s what he posted this afternoon:

Understandable

You can understand Bruno’s apparent frustration.

He joined the St James’s Park outfit as their biggest signing of the January window and now cannot even get into the starting lineup.

However, it’s also easy to understand Howe’s position.

If it isn’t broken then don’t fix it and considering Newcastle had won three Premier League outings in succession prior to visiting London on Saturday, the former Bournemouth manager couldn’t justify changing things around.

There’ll come a time in the very near future where the North-East side do need Bruno’s brilliance and the former Lyon midfielder simply needs to bide his time and stay patient.
