Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has praised Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes on Instagram for his performance against Southampton on Thursday evening.
Newcastle got the better of Southampton 2-1 away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League last night.
Guimaraes scored the winning goal in the 52nd minute.
It was a specular strike as well.
The former Lyon star sent a powerful back-heel volley into the roof of the net.
The 24-year-old Brazil international midfielder has revelled in the win on Instagram.
It was also Guimaraes’s first start for Newcastle since his move from French club Lyon in the January transfer window.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior plays with Guimaraes for the Brazil national football team, and the 21-year-old is delighted for his compatriot.

The Brazilian did well on his full debut for the Magpies, and we think that he will get better.
