Bruno Guimaraes says Howe has totally transformed £80,000-a-week teammate

Bruno Guimaraes has raved about his Newcastle United teammate Joelinton.

Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has told The Athletic that his Brazilian compatriot Joelinton works very hard.

The Brazil international midfielder has noted that Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has fully transformed the £80,000-a-week (SalarySport) player.

Joelinton was playing as a forward when he joined Newcastle.

Under Howe, the 26-year-old Brazil international has been deployed as a midfielder.

Bruno said about Joelinton: “Yes, I am so proud of him, so happy for him. I am with him every day.

“I see how hard he works. We have to say thank you for Eddie, every day! Eddie has been so important for Jo.”

Joelinton is a big player for Newcastle United

In our opinion, Newcastle United star Joelinton has been a superb player for the team under manager Eddie Howe.

The forward is a completely different player now to what we saw before Howe was appointed the Newcastle manager.

The Newcastle no. 7 made 30 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League last season.

Joelinton scored six goals and gave one assist in those games.

The 26-year-old has made 136 appearances in the Premier League in his career so far.

Joelinton has scored 16 goals and given six assists in those games.

Newcastle will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after finishing in the top four of the Premier League table last campaign.

Joelinton will be determined to maintain his good form under Howe and help the Magpies make an impact in the UEFA Champions League next season.
