Bruno Guimaraes has said that Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe will become the England manager one day.
The £62,500-a-week man has been linked with the Three Lions job for the longest time, especially as many seem to be discontent with Gareth Southgate at the helm. Considering the 45-year-old has done wonders at St. James’ Park, whilst also being an Englishman and a talented young coach has meant several fans in particular are hoping that he succeeds the World Cup semi-finalist.
While it seemed like Eddie Howe would perhaps stray clear from the job of England manager due to the exciting project at Newcastle he is leading, Bruno Guimaraes thinks it is destiny that he manages the national team one day.
What Bruno Guimaraes said about Newcastle boss Eddie Howe becoming England manager
Taking over the Magpies job when they were languishing in 19th place last campaign, the ex-Bournemouth boss has done astoundingly well to take the side up to 5th place in the league this term, regardless of the backing from their new owners.
While Bruno Guimaraes did discuss how Newcastle aim to become a staple club in the Champions League, he also touched on how Eddie Howe is destined for the role of England manager in the future.
“Newcastle will be in the Champions League every year in the future. I think about staying here for a long time. I want to make the club story as priority.”

“Eddie Howe will become the England manager one day, I’m sure”, he said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Ultimately, this should worry Newcastle fans as if Bruno Guimaraes can predict as easily as he seemingly can that Eddie Howe will become the England manager one day, that means he has one eye on the job already.
While a number of top coaches will be tempted by the prospect of taking over the Magpies job themselves, it is a slight red flag that their head honcho may already be plotting an exit.
