Newcastle United face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, and they’ll be heading into this game brimming with confidence.

The Magpies are the Premier League’s form team at the minute. They’re unbeaten in seven and they’re slowly but surely creating some distance between themselves and the bottom three.

Survival isn’t quite assured yet for United, but if they keep going like this, it may not be long before relegation is a mathematical impossibility.

Brighton head to St James’ Park this weekend, and while Newcastle are the league’s form team. The Seagulls are having a bit of a wobble.

Indeed, the south coast outfit have lost each of their last three games, and Newcastle will be looking to pile the misery on here.

With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Newcastle’s starting XI for this one.

It’s not exciting or controversial, but we think Newcastle will go unchanged from the team that beat Brentford 2-0 last weekend.

There may be a temptation to bring Bruno Guimaraes or Allan Saint-Maximin into the starting XI, but all of Newcastle’s midfielders are simply undroppable right now, while Howe has said that a late call will have to be made on Saint-Maximin as he hasn’t trained.

We think that it would be foolish to start a player who hasn’t trained for a few weeks, and while Howe may have a late call to make, we think Saint-Maximin may have to settle for a spot on the bench.
