Did Tottenham miss out on a gem in Bruma?

Red Bull Leipzig beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Portuguese talent Bruma earlier this month.
Last night he showed exactly whey he is so highly rated.
The winger scored a screamer at the European Under-21 Championships for Portugal, firing in a sensational volley from outside the box.
ESPN reported in late April that Tottenham were confident of getting a deal done to sign the Galatasaray winger.
In the end they missed out to Red Bull Leipzig, with Turkish-Football reporting the fee was just £10.7 million.
Bruma broke through at Sporting Lisbon, where he was hailed as the next Cristiano Ronaldo.

Predictably he has struggled to live up to that ‘next Ronaldo’ tag, but even the Real Madrid icon took a while to develop into the dominant player he is now.
Bruma’s stunning goal last night demonstrated just what he is capable of, and why Leipzig have signed a bargain.
Tottenham are yet to make any summer additions, and they might have made a big error not snapping Bruma up while they could.
