The Aston Villa centre-back has been out injured for two months.

Villa boss Steve Bruce addressed the media during his pre-match press conference yesterday, ahead of his side’s FA Cup third round clash with Peterborough today, and responded when asked if John Terry would play the game, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The former Chelsea and England skipper has been out injured after breaking a bone in his foot during the Villans’ defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the start of November, but he has worked extremely hard with the club’s strength and conditioning coach, and is now back ready and available for selection.

The 37-year-old moved to Villa Park in the summer on a free transfer, and has proven to be a real coup for Steve Bruce.
Terry has brought a certain level of solidarity and organisation to Villa’s back-line and they have really missed him during his absence.
Bruce spoke to reporters yesterday, and responded to a question asking him if Terry would play today, as quoted by AVFC.co.uk:

“He will play.”
Terry’s return to action has come at the perfect time for Villa, with Bruce’s men currently sitting in fifth position in the Championship table, just five points adrift of second placed Derby County.
Having their inspirational leader back involved with the first-team will be a huge boost for them, as they enter the crucial final third of their campaign.
