Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan midfielder.

Marcelo Brozovic of FC Internazionale Milano looks on during the Serie A match between FC Internazionale and AC Chievo Verona at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on December 3, 2017 in Milan, Italy.

With the January transfer window open, there is much speculation regarding which players Tottenham Hotspur could sign this month.

One player who has been linked with a move to the club is Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, with Tottenham considering making an approach for the Croatia international, as reported by Tutto Mercato Web.

The report indicates that Brozovic, who has fallen out of favour at Inter, could be available for €13-€14 million (£11.5 to £12.39 million), and Tottenham should definitely consider pursuing a deal.

Bringing in Brozovic could provide the Tottenham midfield with some much-needed balance, while it would also help to take some of the pressure off Mousa Dembele.

Dembele has been far from at his best this season and has frequently found himself overworked in midfield, but signing Brozovic would mean that the Belgian would have less individual responsibility.

There is also the possibility that Brozovic could replace Dembele in the starting line-up on some occasions, which would give the latter time to rest and be fully fit for when he is needed.

It has become clear that Tottenham can no longer be overreliant upon Dembele in midfield and, even though the return of Victor Wanyama from injury will help to improve matters considerably, Brozovic’s arrival would give the club a major boost.
