The West Brom striker scored against the Potters on Saturday afternoon.
Brown Ideye took to Twitter in celebration after returning to form against Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
Ideye’s first-half winner gave West Brom all three points at the Hawthorns against Mark Hughes’ side, lifting the Baggies up to within two points of 11th-placed Newcastle United.
Nigeria forward Ideye, signed for a club-record £10 million fee this summer, had suffered a below-par couple of weeks at West Brom of late.
Supporters were particularly disappointed after his performance against Aston Villa in the FA Cup – and there was genuine worry as to whether his resurgence earlier in the campaign had come to an abrupt end.
But the 26-year-old duly delivered against Stoke and took to social media with the following message after the game:
Fellow West Brom forward Saido Berahino also tweeted after the 1-0 win, congratulating Ideye on his winner and praising the ‘massive’ victory.
Midfielder Craig Gardner completed a West Brom Twitter hat-trick, meanwhile, lauding his side’s work rate against Stoke.
Up next for West Brom in the Premier League is a trip to Manchester City, while Stoke City will look to get back to winning ways at home against Crystal Palace.
