Speculation is rife that West Ham United are set to sign Jesse Lingard.
According to Sky Sports News, the Hammers have struck a deal with Manchester United to sign the out-of-favour attacker on a half-season loan.
The report adds that if West Ham complete the transfer by noon today, he will be eligible to make his Premier League debut for the Irons against Liverpool on Sunday.
It does look like this one is going to materialise – especially after what his brother has posted on Instagram.
The 28-year-old’s brother, Louie Scott, has uploaded a photo of two crossed hammers in what looks an enormous hint that a move to West Ham is indeed imminent.
Despite being potentially eligible to face the reigning Premier League champions, David Moyes might keep him in reserve this weekend.
That’s because Lingard hasn’t played in this competition since way back in July and has only clocked three appearances for the Red Devils this season.
Liverpool is a very difficult fixture – even more so after their victory at Spurs last night, restoring some confidence ahead of visiting East London – and Lingard can’t be ready for such a big game.
