Tottenham Hotspur have made a bit of history this afternoon.
Spurs beat Watford in North London today to move top of the Premier League table.
It’s the first time in the Lilywhites’ history that they have won their first three league games without conceding a goal, with Nuno Espirito Santo overseeing a treble of 1-0 victories.
To make it even sweeter, their North London rivals rivals Arsenal are rock bottom of the standings and haven’t even scored once, conceding a whopping nine in three outings.
Here’s how the brother of Tottenham defender Joe Rodon reacted to the win on Twitter:
Brilliant Nuno
Rodon, an £11 million signing by Spurs last summer, has endured an injury-hit start to the season.
But the Wales international will be desperate to get back as soon as possible because things are exciting on the white half of North London – very exciting.
Not only have they enjoyed quite a decent transfer window in terms of arrivals, but the news that Harry Kane will be staying is absolutely huge.
Nuno wasn’t Tottenham’s first-choice manager to replace Jose Mourinho and lord knows there were bigger names attached, like Antonio Conte.
But the former Wolves boss, whose first game was a 1-0 win over Manchester City, is making all the right kind of noises so far.
You can tell that a lot of these Tottenham lads want to play for him and no doubt the same will apply to Rodon when he returns.
