Former Nottingham Forest striker sends his best wishes to another.
Ben Brereton has sealed his surprise exit from Nottingham Forest.
Brereton has left Forest to sign with Blackburn Rovers as part of a loan deal which will become permanent at £7 million in January, BBC Sport report.
His former Forest colleague Britt Assombalonga was quick to wish Brereton well upon his new challenge.
Assombalonga left Forest to join Middlesbrough last summer and has enjoyed some success, scoring 13 goals in his debut season.
Brereton is only 19 and has been tipped for the very top, with Premier League sides previously credited with interest in his services.
Aitor Karanka’s arrival as manager in Janaury has seen Brereton used more sparingly and he had not featured at all in 2018/19.
Letting Brereton go could prove to be a major mistake and Forest fans should rightly wonder if the club will end up regretting it.
