Chelsea’s players have come under scrutiny for their behaviour before their FA Cup match against Hull City.

The Blues defeated Hull 4-0 away from home on Friday to advance to the last 16 of the competition.

It was an excellent night for Liam Rosenior’s side, with Pedro Neto netting a hat-trick and Estevao Willian scoring the other.

However, the Chelsea players have since been criticised for not acknowledging Hull’s young mascots.

British Olympian Sharon Davies slams Chelsea stars for ignoring Hull mascots

Hull’s mascots lined up to watch the Chelsea players walk into the away dressing room after arriving at the MKM Stadium.

However, a video on the Blues’ official social media channels showed the players completely ignoring the mascots.

Sharon Davies, silver medalist at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, is among the celebrities to have called Chelsea out after watching the video.

The former British swimmer, who is also a member of the Conservative Party, wished that the likes of Reece James would have made an effort.

She tweeted: “Very disappointing, Chelsea. Could no one be bothered to even say hello to those young footballers as they passed? 5 seconds of their time!”

Ally McCoist calls out Chelsea players

Radio star Ally McCoist also condemned the Chelsea players for ignoring the Hull mascots.

Like most viewers, the talkSPORT pundit could not understand why they did not at least wave or give a thumbs-up.

“It’s not a good look. Never mind, not a good look, it’s not good…” McCoist said.

“It costs absolutely nothing, and it’s amazing; you underestimate how much it means to those kids…

“Those [small] things are actually big things in the grand scheme of things. That is not a good look at all.”
