Bristol City are poised to sign highly-rated Lens defender Taylor Moore, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Moore, 19, was on the books with West Ham before moving to France at the age of just seven, where he then joined up with Etaples and eventually current club Lens.

Moore has impressed for club and country during the last 12 months and a number of Premier League and Championship clubs have expressed an interest in bringing the player back to England.

The talented central defender has made five appearances in the Lens first-team and progressed through the England youth ranks from U17 to U19.

Moore has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Eric Dier, who has become a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side as well as the senior England team.

Lens are willing to cash-in on Taylor Moore as they look to balance their books and Bristol City are hopeful of landing the defender in a cut-price £1.5million deal.

Bristol City are hopeful of concluding a deal for Taylor Moore and hope to have the defender available for this weekend’s clash with Aston Villa.
