Bryan’s future at City has been the subject of constant speculation all summer with a host of clubs credited with an interest in the attacking full-back.

The likes of Newcastle, Wolves, and Leeds have been linked with Bryan, but there have been no offers for the 24-year-old.

Derby have looked to steal a march on their rivals in the race for Bryan by tabling a £3m offer for the left-back which was rejected by Bristol City.

Rams boss Frank Lampard has been busy in the transfer market in recent weeks bringing in four new signings, and he has targeted Bryan as a key addition to his plans as he looks to build a side capable of challenging for promotion to the Premier League next season.

Bryan is about to enter the final 12 months of his current deal at Ashton Gate and will be able to talk to other clubs in January.

BCity are reluctant to lose Bryan this summer after selling Aden Flint and Bobby Reid already, but they are bracing themselves for further offers before the close of the transfer window.
