City supporters can’t understand the exclusion of Icelandic centre half Magnusson.

Bristol City fans are voicing their displeasure on social media in response to the continued absence of Icelandic international defender Hordur Magnusson.
The centre back, purchased last summer from Juventus, had been a regular fixture in the Robins’ starting line-up; however, following injury, a poor run of form and the purchases of Jens Hegeler and Bailey Wright, Magnusson is not even getting a place in the matchday squad.
Despite City managing 5 points in the previous 3 games after a record run of defeats, City followers on Twitter are unhappy with the way that Magnusson, who many consider to be a standout performer in a struggling season, has been dropped from the squad.
Magnusson has responded to supporters on Twitter, confirming that injury is not standing in the way of his selection:
Manager Lee Johnson responded to the confusion, via the club’s official Twitter account, citing that Magnusson suffered from being suited to only one position:
However, fans were quick to clarify that, whilst primarily deployed as a centre back, Magnusson had represented his country in a full back role:

Magnusson, who celebrated his 24th birthday on Saturday, confirmed that there was no dispute between himself and Johnson, as City prepare for a trip to Leeds United on Tuesday night.
