Bristol City fans on Twitter are fed up at the thought of being linked with Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan as they made it clear that they don’t want to sign the player.

When Villa were in the Championship, they boasted one of, if not the best squad in the second tier of English football and now some of their current star players have become sought-after figures.

The Mirror (print edition, page 48, June 19, 2019, are reporting that Championship side Bristol City want to sign Hogan and are looking to make a move for him this summer.

It is said that Hogan, who was purchased for £12 million from Brentford during the 2017 January transfer window by then-Villa manager Steve Bruce, can leave on a free.

Whilst Hogan struggled at Villa and failed to deliver the goods, given his experience and his time at Griffin Park, he could seemingly still do a job in the second tier.

Lee Johnson’s side missed out on a top-six finish last season, with playoff finalists Villa and Derby County beating them to those final two spots in the top-six.
