Bristol City defender Adam Webster is attracting interest from numerous Premier League clubs including Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
A number of Bristol City players have made the step up from the Championship to the Premier League in recent seasons and another one could potentially be heading to Aston Villa or Newcastle.
TeamTalk recently claimed that Newcastle are pushing for a deal for Robin’s defender Adam Webster, whilst The Sun claim that Aston Villa are set to make a move for the high-rated ace.
Aston Villa have secured the signature of four players so far, whilst Newcastle are yet to see a fresh face walk through the doors at St James’ Park.
Nonetheless, if Webster had an option to choose between either Villa or Newcastle then he shouldn’t hesitate in picking the Midlands outfit.
First and foremost, from the two teams, Webster’s style of play would suit Dean Smith’s side because the 23-year-old does like to bring the ball out from the back.
Villa play a more attacking brand of football than the North East club, who will be hoping that manager Rafa Benitez is still in charge of them next season.
Added with that, The Sun have claimed that Villa are set to offer £12 million for the talented Englishman, and when it comes to money, ambition, and Mike Ashley then Newcastle have no chance.
Whilst Webster would be a good and smart purchase for most teams outside the top 10, given Newcastle’s current predicament, they need to sort out their manager’s future before making any other key decisions.
