Bristol City boss impressed with Taylor Moore’s debut.
England U18’s Taylor Moore (R) celebrates with team mates after he scores his sides first goal
Highly rated defender Taylor Moore kicked off his Bristol City career last night as he made his debut in the win over Fulham.
Moore is an England youth international who was signed from French side Lens in the summer, and has been waiting on the sidelines for his opportunity.
After a little bit of a shaky start, Moore brushed away his nerves to produce a display which suggested he is deserving of further first team opportunities for the Championship side.
His performance impressed manager Lee Johnson, who told the club’s official website after the game.
He said: “We had three lads making their debuts. Taylor Moore looked like Bobby Moore, never mind Taylor Moore.”

Johnson also went onto praise fellow debutants Ivan Lucic, who saved a penalty, and Gustav Engvall.
Bristol City won the game 2-1 with in form loan striker Tammy Abraham scoring an injury time winner.
Bristol’s Tammy Abraham celebrates his goal
Abraham has been a revelation since signing from Chelsea in the summer, and City are determined to enjoy him while they can.
Taylor Moore’s story at the club is just beginning, but unlike Abraham, he is a permanent signing, and last night was an important step in his career, one which could see him become a stalwart of their defence for years to come.
