Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Michail Antonio has named Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah as his dream signing for West Ham United.
The January transfer window is open, and while owners and managers up and down the country are crafting some well thought out, realistic shortlists, Antonio has been discussing his fantasy signing.
Antonio was asked, if money was no object, which player would he most like to sign for West Ham? And the striker said that Salah was the one man he’d want above anybody else.
What’s Antonio said about Salah?
Antonio named the Egyptian as his dream signing.
“One person, Mo Salah. Right now he’s the best player in the world. He’s not just getting goals, he’s getting assists as well. He will help drag us up that field, so I’d bring him in. Any other year it would be Messi, but over the past few years, what Salah has done, he’s the only player I would think about calling, and he doesn’t play on my side, so I’m safe,” Antonio said.

Bowen upgrade
There aren’t many players in world football who would be an upgrade on Jarrod Bowen for West Ham right now, but Mohamed Salah is certainly one of them.
As Antonio says, Salah is arguably the best player on the planet right now, and his goals speak for themselves this season.
Of course, Salah isn’t going to end up at West Ham, but if he did, we’re sure that the Hammers would be challenging at the very top of the Premier League table.
