Arsenal fans have been left concerned after it was confirmed that Emile Smith Rowe had picked up a knock on international duty.

Smith Rowe has been away with England’s under-21 side, and Aidy Bothroyd suggested to the London Evening Standard yesterday that the Arsenal man was now unlikely to play in his side’s game this evening.

The news has thrown Smith Rowe’s availability for the weekend into doubt, with Arsenal set to take on Liverpool.

And Gunners fans now want Smith Rowe back at London Colney sooner rather than later.

If Smith Rowe does miss out on featuring for Arsenal on Saturday it will be a blow to Mikel Arteta’s side.

The youngster has really been a breath of fresh air since stepping into Arsenal’s starting line-up, and they now rely on him to provide creativity for them.

Even with Martin Odegaard impressing, Arteta has still often found a place for Smith Rowe in his time.

And Arsenal will surely be concerned about the news that their prospect may have picked up a knock, ahead of what looks a very tough test this weekend.
