Liverpool play host to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League today.

Reds captain Jordan Henderson raved about the quality of Spurs, when writing his regular column for the club’s official website, highlighting similarities between them and his own side, ahead of today’s clash at Anfield.
Liverpool head into the game in third position in the Premier League table, two places and two points ahead of Tottenham, so the outcome of today’s game could have huge ramifications as far as both sides’ Champions League hopes are concerned.

The Merseyside outfit have won five out of their last six Premier League games, whilst the north Londoners have not lost since their 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on December 16th, so today’s game has all the makings of an absolute classic.
Henderson wrote his regular column for the club’s official website, and warned his team of the quality possessed by Spurs, labelling them as a brilliant side with a world-class manager:

“This afternoon is as tough as it gets because Tottenham are a brilliant side with a world-class manager leading them. I know quite of few of the Spurs lads because we are teammates with England, so I’ve seen their quality first-hand. The way they’re led and set-up as a team also gives them confidence and belief to be on the front-foot at all times. I think there’s similarities between the two clubs in that regard.”
Tottenham were really poor at Anfield last season, with Liverpool running out as comfortable 2-0 winners, so they will have to ensure that they start the game brightly, if they are to have any chance of leaving Merseyside with anything to show for their efforts.
The game kicks off today at 16:30 and can be seen exclusively live on Sky Sports.
