One very exciting Rangers talent will be playing Premiership football next season, but not under Steven Gerrard.
It was announced on Wednesday that Ross County had signed Gers midfielder Stephen Kelly on a season-long loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
Kelly, who came through Rangers’ academy, only turned 20 in April and it’s fascinating to see what a full year in the top flight will do for his development.
The youngster enjoyed an excellent stint in the Championship with Ayr United last term, with manager Ian McCall admitting at one stage that he ‘loves him to death’.

The Scottish Sun reported back in February of 2019 that Gerrard is a ‘huge fan’ of Kelly and no doubt the light Blues boss will be regularly watching him during his loan in Dingwall next term.
Kelly was named on the bench in both Europa League qualifiers against Maribor in August of 2018, but he didn’t feature in either.
He did, however, make his senior Rangers debut a month later in a 4-0 League Cup win over Ayr, ironically, though he hasn’t been seen in a competitive game since.
