Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after Wolves announced that their players had requested basic life support training.
What’s the story?
Well, after Alan George Smith collapsed during Newcastle’s 3-2 defeat on Sunday, the Wolves players have taken action.
As revealed on the club’s official Twitter account, Bruno Lage’s men asked to receive training, so they know what to do if they ever find themselves alongside someone like Mr Smith on Sunday.
A medical team travelled to Compton Park training ground, and pictures show Adama Traore performing CPR on a dummy.
Given how strong the Spaniard is, we wouldn’t be surprised if he pushed straight through the training dummy’s chest!
All jokes aside, it’s great to see Wolves players going the extra distance to ensure they’re equipped to save a life, if need be.
Newcastle must copy Wolves

Seeing as the incident involving Mr Smith happened at St James’ Park, we’d like to see Newcastle’s players receive similar training.
In fact, we believe the Premier League should offer this training to all 20 clubs, as well as their supporters.
It’s quite basic practice, and it doesn’t require a huge amount of skill to perform on somebody else.

Knowing what to do in that situation can be the difference between life and death – it’s vital to provide this information.
Even just hanging up some posters around Premier League stadiums, showing the basic guidelines to CPR, would be a step forward.
For now, let’s see what the Newcastle fans on Twitter have been saying about the Wolves squad’s actions…
