Leeds United are reportedly interested in taking Ben White on loan for next season.
According to a report from The Argus, Brighton are planning to send some of their top under-23 players out on loan into the Championship next season, in what looks set to be very good news for Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa.
The Argus reports that the Whites are hoping to land Seagulls centre-back Ben White on loan for the coming season as they look to go one better than this past campaign and secure promotion to the Premier League.
And it appears that Leeds have received a boost in their pursuit of the centre-back, with The Argus suggesting that Brighton are ready to loan out a number of their young prospects to Championship clubs.
Boost for Leeds?
The report notes that Brighton are likely to want assurances regarding the amount of playing time that their players are set to get in the second tier. But if Bielsa is happy to provide those, then perhaps it would not be a surprise to see White complete a switch to Elland Road in the near future.
Leeds are surely not going to be the only side to target the former Newport County loanee, but sending him to the Yorkshire club makes a lot of sense for Brighton given the expectation that Bielsa’s men will have to deal with next term.
White has stepped up in both League Two and League One. But perhaps there is no better place outside the top flight for White to prove that he is capable of plying his trade at the highest level than at Leeds.
